Hall was a missionary to the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara tribes of Fort Berthold Indian Reservation in the late 1800's and early 1900's. This book covers Hall's rich and evolving ministry through his own writings, historical documents and more.

The Frontier Missionary is available for $15.00 (plus tax) at our administration offices at 513 E. Expressway in Bismarck. You may order online by clicking the Learn more link on the book cover picture.

Our Mission

The mission of Charles Hall Youth Services is to assist at-risk youth in making a
successful transition from troubled adolescence to mature adulthood. Our

goal is for today's at-risk teens to discover their innate strengths,

develop important life skills, and become emotionally stable and psychologically resilient so that tomorrow's generation of youth live in

healthier families with viable community supports.

CHYS provides daily living care and case management services to youth, ages 10-19, in three neighborhood-based group homes in Bismarck, North Dakota.  Founded in 1965 as a mission of the United Church of Christ, Charles Hall Youth Services provides services for foster care youth needing to live in a safe, stable and nurturing environment.
